Introduction

This privacy statement sets out how we interact with you with regards to your personal data, how we use and store it, and your rights to the information that we hold.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. We will only ask for information from you when you request something from us, by making a written enquiry, or registering for one of our courses.

All personal data will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

About Us

Aspire Procurement Training trains aspiring procurement and supply chain professionals in a range of topics and qualifications. We are proud to be a CIPS Centre of Excellence and a main provider on the RAPA for apprenticeships in England.

We also provide a number of short commercial courses from organisations on specific procurement, project management and supply chain topics. We have trained people from around the globe.

What we collect

The only personal data that we collect is that which you voluntarily give us during the course of your interaction with us.

We may also be given your information if passed on by another employee within your organisation for the purposes of registering basic personal data information, so that we may process you on one of our training courses. The basic personal data information may include, for example:

  • Your name, date of birth and gender
  • Addresses (home and work), contact email addresses and contact telephone numbers (home, work and mobile)

When you are registered on one of our courses, you may be asked to volunteer information that allows us to process you successfully on your courses. This may include more sensitive personal detail, such as:

  • Previous qualifications
  • Employment status
  • Learning difficulties or other disabilities
  • Ethnicity
  • Online assessment tools and scoring
  • Language skills
  • Proof of identity

Why do we collect this information?

We only use your information in accordance with the law.  These are either:

  • to perform or take steps to enter a contract with you;
  • for legitimate interests. This includes contacting you for marketing purposes or if you apply for a role with us;
  • compliance with a legal obligation;
  • if you consent for us to do so.

The data we have collected will allow us to process any orders or requests you have and to provide you with relevant and topical information. We may also ask for your views on our services.

We will send you occasional information with regards to Aspire Procurement Training’s products and services on the basis of your legitimate interests. We will use your registered details for this purpose unless you have asked us not to do so. You can opt not to receive marketing information from us at any time by using the unsubscribe link within any marketing communication.

Recipients with whom we may share your data

Your personal data will not be sold, shared, or distributed to third parties, save where it is necessary for one of the reasons listed above.

We will only share your personal data with contracted parties, for the purpose of progressing your course training and any examinations.

Such parties may include:

  • Regulatory bodies (where necessary for legislation or qualification records)
  • Awarding bodies
  • Your employer
  • External trainers or functional specialists

We may publish or share anonymised statistics under the condition that no personally identifiable information can be derived from such statistics by third parties.

Retention of your data

We will retain your personal data for no longer than is necessary in order to comply with our legal obligations, noting that this may extend beyond your actual relationship with us. At this point, we will restrict the processing of your personal data to those purposes which form a legal obligation for us.

All of your personal data is stored via secure third-party SaaS applications in UK data centres and in accordance with good industry practice as prescribed by General Data Protection Regulation.

We do not permit the transfer of your personal data outside of the UK.

How we keep your personal data secure

We take specific measures to protect your personal data, including permissions based multi-factor authentication on all of our key SaaS applications.

All team members are trained in data protection, and we contract specific services in hardware and software protection, including antivirus protection and data back-up.

Restrictions are in place to ensure access rights are to appropriate team members.

Your rights in controlling your personal information

You have various legal rights over your personal data that you have given to us, in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulations.  These rights include the right to access a copy of the data we hold about you, and to ask us to rectify or erase the data. You also have the right to data portability, you can ask us to restrict the processing of your data, or you can raise an objection to the processing. Where processing is based on your consent then you have the right to withdraw that consent.

How and why we use cookies

Our website makes use of ‘cookies’. Cookies are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit. Cookies make it possible for your browser to remember your setting and preferences.  Cookies also collect statistical data about your browsing and do not identify you as an individual.  This helps us to improve our website and deliver a more personalised service for you.

We do not pass on your personal details to others in this way.

We do not have systems that use your information for automated decision-making.
